A CHORAL workshop attracted 70 people to All Saints School in Weymouth.
Weymouth Choral Society members and singers from Salisbury, Verwood, Fordingbridge and the New Forest gathered to fine-tune their technique.
Voice coach Bryan Husband – a teacher at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London and freelance operatic tenor – led the singers in a piece by composer Duruflé and gave them pointers on how to get the best from their voices.
Weymouth Choral Society member Liz Williams organised the event.
She said: “We’re really, really pleased with how it went. It was the first one we’ve done.
“Bryan helped us to improve our technique – breathe better, hold the breath for longer and talked about how the throat and voicebox work.
“We worked on singing the piece through and how to improve our expression.”
Mrs Williams added: “It was such a massive success that I’m sure we will be doing it again.”
