Come and join Weymouth Choral Society for an exciting and inspiring day of singing at The Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester. The Workshop will be led by Mark Burstow, previous director of the Bournemouth Male Voice Choir and current musical director of the Bournemouth Symphony Youth Chorus. Mark has a rich background in choral and church music and has worked with many ensembles and choirs in the UK.
This workshop day will feature Sir John Rutter’s popular and beautiful ‘Requiem’, and the contemporary work ‘A Little Jazz Mass’ by Bob Chilcott. Through these contrasting works, Mark will focus on vocal and choral technique, musicianship and interpretation. No prior knowledge of the music is required, although the ability to read music would be an advantage. Music hire is included in the fee but for your information we will be using OUP editions.

Please note, singers under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
The fee covers music hire, morning coffee and afternoon tea & cakes! You will need to provide your own lunch. Please bring a reusable tea/coffee mug.
