A very warm welcome to Weymouth Choral Society’s Christmas Concert 2011!
We have a varied and enjoyable programme of seasonal music for you tonight. I am delighted to welcome several guests and would like to thank them for their contributions to the evening. It is a great pleasure to have with us again David Bruce-Payne on the organ. David is a much appreciated supporter of the choral society, and has played organ and piano for us on many occasions. Additionally, our resident accompanist Louise Dukes is here to help us with some pieces and also to provide a wonderful contrast with her solos on her piano accordion, always a popular addition to the programme. We are delighted to welcome also the instrumentalists of Flute Mosaic with their director, Nikki Olson. Flute Mosaic will play several seasonal items for us this evening and enhance some of the choral pieces with some flute accompaniments.
