On Tuesday, 29th November 2022, a group of thirty singers from the Weymouth Choral Society sang at the memorial service commemorating the 55th anniversary of the withdrawal from Aden. ‘Abide with Me’ and ‘Eternal Father’ were amongst the music chosen to reflect this special time of reflection during which the fallen were remembered with gratitude.
The Choral Society has also been busy practising for the annual Christmas Carol concert ‘Tidings of Joy’ which is being held on Saturday, 10th December at 7.30pm at St John’s Church. Tickets, priced £12 for adults and under 16s free, are still available via Ticketsource or on the door.
